What is the warranty coverage period on new Furman products? Furman has Limited Warranty terms of one, three or five years (depending on the model).
This warranty will cover defects in materials or workmanship on registered units. Our warranty covers parts and labor, with the term measured from the date of purchase of the new unit by the original owner.
The warranty is not transferable.
How can I know if my unit is “in-warranty”? SAVE YOUR SALES RECEIPT! The receipt is your proof of purchase and confirms the product was purchased at an authorized Furman dealer. It will need to be submitted to Furman in order to process any warranty claims. Proof of purchase is also required for any connected equipment warranty claim. No connected equipment claim will be considered without a valid sales receipt.
Can I get an estimate on repair charges over the telephone? Yes, we will supply a non-bidding estimate based on the information provided. However, remember that actual examination may reveal different or additional problems. Actual costs of repair may be lower or higher than the estimated quote.
If I send in my unit and ask for an estimate before doing repairs, what will it cost if I decide NOT to have the unit repaired (estimate charge)? A bench fee of $45.00 is required for an estimate, plus return shipping. If you choose to have the Furman Service Department repair the unit, the bench fee will be rolled into the first hour of labor. The current labor rate is $85.00 per hour. What is your approximate turnaround time for repairs at the factory? Typical turnaround is two weeks from the time we receive the unit until it leaves our service department. However, time can vary depending on repair backlogs and parts availability. If your need is urgent, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
I don\'t have the original shipping carton. What should I do? Package the unit carefully in a sturdy box and cushion it well against impact (please do not use Styrofoam peanuts). We advise you to insure your shipment, because Furman cannot be responsible for any damage incurred in shipment to us. Most shipping boxes state the containers weight limitations. Please check the box or ask your retail shipping or postal business center.
What is the warranty coverage on factory repairs? Once the terms of a products warranty have expired, out of warranty factory repairs are warranted for a period of 90 days.
Do you have other authorized service centers, and will they repair my unit under warranty? No, Furman is the only authorized service center. Are Owner’s Manuals available separately? Some Owner’s Manuals are available on this web site for download in PDF form. The list of available manuals can be found here. If you cannot find the manual you are looking for, then call or email Furman Technical Support. Please select option 3 if you choose to call Furman at (707) 763-1010. Are schematic diagrams available separately? Schematic diagrams are available for many products. Newer products do have proprietary technology so there are some limitations. Schematics for Furman legacy products are typically available. Many schematics are printed in manuals for the older Furman product. If you need technical assistance please contact Furman at (707) 763-1010 and select option 3. How can I pay for non-warranty repairs, parts, or manuals? We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express, or prepayment by check (U.S. funds only).
